Dan Rather and his gang were asked to resign by the head of CBS, not by the American government. While we practice freedom of the press, we also hold a high value on accountability. If you are a journalist that deliberately lied to the public, you lose your credibility, your viewership, and your job. In your country, journalists lose their jobs NO MATTER WHAT!
