ASUC Webcasts
The California Patriot is proud to unveil the latest initative in our campus watchdog campaign. Every week, the ASUC Senate, a part of our student government, conducts meetings to decide how your student fees will be spent. This in addition to deciding other issues of major to little to no importance. Now, you’ll finally have a chance to see your representatives in action. Think of it as CSPAN for college, and just as boring.
Click here to watch the meeting of Wednesday, April 6. This is in streaming Real Video format. If you want to download the video for future reference, right click this and save as (72.4 megs).
Please excuse the audio quality, this was just a test run. Expect future recordings to be of higher quality. Also for next time, we will select the best clips of the night and offer those for viewing separately. We’re just getting started with this, so we appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have regarding this project. Thanks.
Special thanks to Dwight Asuncion, Kelly Coyne, Amaury Gallais, and Gordon Li for making this possible.

Cool idea guys. The file is kind of big so that may put a strain on your server, so you may wish to use Bittorent or something like that.

Video of the ASUC Meeting for 4/6/05
The Cal Patriot Blog is testing out what it calls “CSPAN for college” by making a video (Realplayer, 72.4 Mbs) of last Wednesday’s (April 6th) ASUC Senate meeting. Very cool idea guys.

I’m told that there were technical difficulties with last wednesday’s taping, so it won’t be available unfortunately.
