Important New Research!

Here’s the AP reporting on an interesting new theory:

If winning is everything, British anthropologists have some advice: Wear red.

Their survey of four sports at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens shows competitors were more likely to win their contests if they wore red uniforms or red body armor.

“Across a range of sports, we find that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning,” report Russell A. Hill and Robert A. Barton of the University of Durham in England. Their findings are in Thursday’s issue of the journal Nature.

More research will have to take place, of course. Until then, our friends across the bay can take heart in knowing that they’re the exception that proves the rule.

  1. You’re cently had a post realted to Prop.209 and I find it rather amusing.

Here’s another link in my claim. Considering the War on 209 if find it surprising that the Patriot will try to blow Lazaro’s campaing out of the water in order to allow someone who is actually FOR affirmative action to win. Despite the fact that the piece is attributed to Andrew Q., I am almost certain that Student Action leader Matt Bunch was the primary source for that article. BCR not only resembles Student Action Party more than it does the Republican Party often times it seems curious to find such overlap in active membership.

In Patriot’s tradition of deciet and the ASUC, wouldn’t it serve your purpose to let her run “hidden” and perhaps win.

  2. Hey,you ignored my hilarious swipe at Stanford!

Well I can’t speak for the rest of the Patriot or BCR, but I actually did vote for her, and partly for the reason you gave. But mostly as a protest against the ASUC, which I would rather see dismantled.

Now, someone please post an on topic comment to acknowledge my wit! hehe…

  3. That article was clearly aimed at demoralizing the CalServe base; she was the only CS exec candidate to end up below 2000 and lose by an enormous margin…what a shame.
