Remember Kris Cuaresma-Primm, the CalSERVE senator who became ASUC President two years back? Remember how he got arrested for public drunkenness during his term?

Now that I’m done with the setup… Today, the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies has named Kriss Cuaresma-Primm the 2005-2006 Anheuser-Busch Fellow.

What a fitting honor.

  1. Kris Primm was an embarassment for the university. Interesting thing is the currennt president is not doing much better. He refuses to take stance on issues, he is not a registered student.

  2. Do we really want the ASUC president to take stances on issues? Or is it that we want him to take stances that we agree with? I mean Primm, for example, spoke out against Prop 54. That’s one reason why I disliked him. Why did he use his position as a personal soapbox for partisan issues?

  3. I saw Kriss Primm wear No on 54 button on numerous ocasions. I think ASUC presidential candidates should campaign on solid issues and hold them if they get elected.

  7. Yuriy,
Manny is definitely a registered student. Look at https://students.berkeley.edu/regstat/regstat.asp and find Buenrostro, Manuel.

  8. smashT,
For your info, our ASUC prez is opposed to affirmative action, which is a good start.
