[...] Honestly, I don’t even want to talk about this. It’s a waste of time, a waste of money, and nothing less than absolute ridiculousness. I say this as someone who definitely did not vote for Bush in 2004. I’ll defer to the previous commentary offered by Beetle and the Cal Patriot Blog. « Cal Sports Update [...]

Let's also not forget that Berkeley has been trying to get something like this on the ballot since the day Bush got elected. Bush has done a lot of things I don't like, but I like to keep up with things like this. I think the idea, is that other towns will follow suit and perhaps, Bush may get impeached, but it all hinges on the democrats getting a majority in Congress this fall, which a lot of the Left seems convinced will happen. Otherwise, let's say in theory, it works -- Bush gets impeached, Cheney gets impeached, but Congress is still majority Republican. Guess who is President? Hastert. Thinking real far into the future there, aren't we?

Logistically impossible first of all. And more significantly - can you imagine the opposite? If Bush-Cheney monitored the actions of the Berkeley city council? That would fill up your news pages for ya. Especially in the "Paper of Record" these days.....

First, that a small city like Berkeley wants to monitor the POTUS is pretty absurd, especially given the effectiveness of task-forces, or lack thereof. A wonderful waste of money as well. Furthermore...brave city? Tearing someone else down is the easiest thing in the world. Something brave would be leading by example. Let me know if you see some of that.
