From online to your ipod and laptop anywhere
If you want something to listen to while you are lounging around, check out Alex Marlow’s new podcast. He interviews Kyle Tibbitts about his internship in the White House during the last election. They also speculate about something that is getting closer all the time, 2008 Presidential race.
I try to avoid speculation about nominations this early, but few people share my restraint. Who do you support and like in either side for President in ’08?
I am putting up these two pictures because they have facebook profiles here and here.

I likewise deplore the way people care so much about 2008 already…but since you asked, here’s my list.
1) Brownback
2) McCain
3) Huckabee
4) Romney
5) Richardson
6) Hunter
7) Biden
[everyone else, for whom I don’t think I’d vote, though I’m probably forgetting some lower-tier GOPers]
And I swear, I really will do a blog post explaining this more sometime. Maybe today, who knows?

James, I’m curious about why you ranked Richardson over Hunter. Duncan Hunter is one of the strongest pro-lifers in Congress, having introduced legislation to that effect. I’m not even sure that Richardson is pro-life, although I will admit that he’d be my first choice among the Democrats too.
The text of Hunter’s legislation, the “Right to Life Act”, can be found at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:H.R.618:
Ron Paul has also introduced his own pro-life bill, titled the “Sanctity of Life Act”, which can be found here: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:H.R.1094:

Primarily because I don’t know enough about Hunter to make a very informed decision. Although we do disagree on immigration, he seems fairly good on everything else, which was why he made the list at all - I wanted to differentiate him from, say, Giuliani, Gingrich, or Tancredo, all of whom I actually dislike for one reason or another.
I know more about Richardson, admire his record of achievement in New Mexico and his remarkably sane foreign policy, and think that under the right circumstances he might actually make a very good President. As for his stance on abortion, important as the issue is to me, it’s less important in an executive than it is in a legislator.
Once I get to know more about Hunter, my guess is he’d move up the list, quite possibly ahead of Romney. But I didn’t feel like I knew enough to put him ahead of someone whom I know I like.
