“Nobody likes me, everybody hates me”
So, I know not everyone hates Student Action. But from what I’ve seen around campus lately, it seems like a lot of people do, or at least a few people with a lot of spare change for photocopies. Chris covered the nearly-meaningless flier attacking Dwight already, here are some more attacks.
Pictured below are some examples from Dwight street between College and Bowditch. All the campaign chalk along this block was wiped off, fairly obviously too. I’m not assigning blame, and as obnoxious as campaign chalking is, it’s not very nice to undo someones hard work.

Also, these parodies of Student Action’s “Done” flyering campaign I found a ways from campus on College and elsewhere.

I liked this approach better than whoever decided to wash off the chalk. These are legitimate complaints about SA (Am I right, Beetle?), and their parodic nature amused me in the early morning.

The top one is definitely legitimate. I think the second one is, too, though that’s hard to get across in a flyer campaign. It would be nice if the website actually went somewhere.

I noticed several instances of chalking being rendered illegible. I also saw CalSERVE chalking defaced so it is not just hatred of SA.

The chalking that was washed away was because it was ruled that chalking on a sidewalk bordering University property (instead of the accepted 50%) was entirely illegal, so the parties were given some notice to wash away chalk bordering University property (looks like around Unit 2 there).

If that was the case, they did a half-assed job about it.

yes, the parties erased the chalk themselves. Anyone who paid attention to communication sent to candidates would know that…try to stay on the election beat a little more before you accuse people of things.

From what it looks like, Student Action mostly tried to erase the party name as well as candidates’ names and numbers instead of all of the chalk. I’m not sure if what chalk is actually left counts as a violation or not.
