		<description>Some problems with the bill have been noted by Senator Sessions &lt;a href="http://sessions.senate.gov/pressapp/record.cfm?id=275456" rel="nofollow"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. While they are based on an earlier version of the bill before countless amendments, they need to be addressed. Some things like the short period before legal status is granted are ridiculous. How can the government do a background check in hours when it currently takes months for a citizen to get a passport?

I agree we do need to enforce our current laws better. If this bill passes (and I hope it does not), there will still be illegal immigration. Only next time people will know they can break the law by coming here illegally and be rewarded for it.</description>
