Breaking: CalSERVE takes it all
This just in from Chris Page, who is live at the election results forum:
CalSERVE wins every executive office.
But the good news is Tommy Owens, the Berkeley College Republicans candidate, made it to the Senate.
More news to follow.

Wow - I’m shocked! I truthfully thought the Student Action slate was way better… How the hell is Krystle going to run the senate next year?

What happened to SUPERB?

The tabulation was done differently then in past years. After the J-council advisory opinion was released, they will not let candidates drop in the middle of tabulation, which means all the people had to drop before they started, or after the 1st tabulation took place.
The Senate results are no where near official. CS and SA will sit down and run different tests with the raw vote data and see who to drop to maximize their number of senators.
Tommy is #20 on the list, and I am worried one of the major parties will play with the drops to get another of their party in.
They did not have the names, only the numbers of all the people running in the file. I did not know any of the numbers and only knew who won the executive offices by the screaming from CS.

When will we know if Tommy is definitely elected since you say the two major parties might change strategies?

Never! You’ll know final results in a week. Or two. Or three. You may be in France by the time you find out.

BUUUUURN! That’s actually pretty lame. Why not “I know you are, but what am I?”

Apparently Cal students are willing to pay $30 directly into an ineffective org that tries to recruit blacks, latinos and native americans to Cal.
That’s cool, whatever.
Calserve will put all the ASUC money into those centers.
