I’m proud of the Republicans in the House. I think today may be the only time they finally came together and stood up for conservative values and fiscal responsibility. Hey, I like bipartisanship as much as the next guy because we can all agree that sometimes partisanship does get in the way of things getting done but when it means abandoning your principles, I must adamantly put my foot down.
Thank you House Republicans for showing some backbone. When people look in the past and see how bogus, ridiculous, and idiotic this stimulus is, they can point their fingers clearly at the Democrats (at least in the House). Unfortunately, I don’t think the same will occur in the Senate; it’s a shame, really.

its easy to make principled stands when youre in the minority, have little to no say in the decision making process and bear little to no responsibility for the consequences of policies enacted.
just ask the Democrats …. assuming they remember …. it was only a few years ago!
