letters“Tea Parties”

I was reading your guys article about the tea parties in last month’s Patriot and I was really glad to see people, especially college students from UC Berkeley, promoting the movement. There have been too much corporate bailouts and governmental spending this past year and enough is enough. Its wonderful that there are young kids like yourselves who are engaged and responsive to the events happening around us.

Keep up the good work and continue to stand up for what is right!

“Importance of Student Government”

I enjoyed reading the article Tommy Owens wrote about the problems with UC Berkeley’s student government and the solutions that might fix it. When I was in college along time ago, our student government was not as important as it now. Because of the dominating force and the liberal agenda pretty much all the college administrations have, it is crucial for campuses to have an influential student government. However, most student governments, probably like Berkeley, have liberal student representatives also.

It great to see that you guys are making sure that your student government does work and its not just some lapdog for the college administration.
